Back to the roots: in 1998 Eicke Steinort started his professional training as a cook at Hotel Wassersleben – which he owns today. But in between he had an exciting journey: His career began at Dorchester Hotel in London, followed by employments at Ritz Carlton Wolfsburg and the often awarded Minos Beach Art Hotel Resort on Kreta. 2006 he returned to London and learned from 3 Star Chef Alain Ducasse. After stops in Dubai and Istanbul he finally became kitchen director at Hotel Bayerischer Hof, Munich.
Since January 1st 2018 he is back in the North, along with his wife and his two children and made his dream of an own hotel come true. With enthusiasm and attention to detail Steinort aims to develop his house to a demanded address at the Fjord.
